You can't alter an active DHCP's scope subnet. I needed to alter a 24 bit subnet to a 23 bit subnet, but I didn't want to delete the scope (and all its DHCP reservations) and start over. I found this post on how to alter the subnet without deleting the scope:
http://www.windowstricks.in/2009/06/how-to-change-subnet-mask-of-dhcp-scope.html
It worked as advertised.

Fix My Network Wizard in SBS 2008
The "Fix My Network" wizard in SBS 2008 is pretty well received. I used it when I built and SBS 2008 box alongside an older Windows 2000 box. The old Windows 2000 box was in charge of DHCP, so the SBS 2008 box wouldn't start or run DHCP server. I took that old DHCP server out of service, and I ran the Fix My Network wizard and it saw the issue and addressed it. More info here:

DHCP Server not functioning - disable RPC filter in ISA
I found a weird situation on one of my SBS servers where DHCP wasn't working. When I went into the DHCP management console, I saw this:

After some investigation, I had to disable this RPC filter in the ISA firewall. Of the 9 SBS boxes I manage that all serve DHCP, this is the only box I've ever had to do this with. So weird. Here is the RPC filter in application filters I had to disable:
